▲ Application and Selection Process

To apply for a stall at any of our events, we need you to complete our online application form together with some images of the work you wish to sell at the fair.

On the application form we ask for your website address. Please ensure that this provides us with any relevant online imagery of your work. Your Folksy or Etsy shop, blog or flickr are also great for showing us what you create!

We MUST be able to see examples of the products you wish to sell, so if you do not have a website or online gallery, then please attach up to 4 jpegs, representative of your work, after submitting your form. These images will be used in the selection process and should be sent to

▲ How do you make the selection?

Selection is based on the images that are sent or the images available on your stated website. Each event has a new selection process.

We like to ensure a high level of quality and a varied balance of craft disciplines so that our markets are the cream of the crops, the best of the bunch and a lovely wide selection of products for customers to choose from.

▲ When will I hear if my application has been successful?

We email all applicants within one week after the application deadline, not before.

Please note that we wait until the deadline before beginning the selection process to allow each application a fair chance. So, if you have not heard from us and are concerned it has been a while, please do check the deadline date for applications, if it has been longer than 1 week after the deadline, then please do feel free to get in touch.

Oh! and please make sure you add us to your email address book…. (we’d hate to be accidentally filtered as junk!)

▲ What if I have not been selected?

We usually have a very high demand for stalls at our events. Unfortunately we can only provide a limited number of spaces. We would love to be able to take everyone who applies for a stall, however, if you have not been selected we do have a reserve list.

If you would like to be on the reserve list, please reply to your email with the subject title “RESERVE” and we will keep your name on reserve incase anyone pulls out. Please note that we do have a new selection for each market date, so do not let it put you off applying again for future events!

It is always an extremely difficult selection process with a very high standard of work and unfortunately we have to turn away many talented designers every month. We really appreciate every single application- it’s the reason we keep going!! If you have not been selected, do pop by the market if you can, and see what is on offer!

▲ Who can apply?

We pride ourselves in being a quality handmade market. We always accept applications from sellers of handmade goods and artwork. We have, in the past accepted sellers of locally made food and vintage goods, depending on the venue. If you wish to sell vintage or food please check the event specifics before applying.

We do not accept applications from stalls selling bought in goods.

▲ Joint applications

We accept joint applications from designers wishing to share a stall together. Please ensure that details for all vendors are included in the application form and that images are sent to represent the work from both designers.

▲ Payment

We ask for payment to be made within 9 days after you have received confirmation of your place at the market.

We accept cheque, paypal or bank transfer. (Paypal incurs a charge of 88p)
All relevant payment details will be sent by email with your confirmation.

▲ Cancellation

If you have applied for a stall and can no longer attend the event, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing

If you have paid for you stall, and need to cancel your place at the event for any reason, we will offer a full refund only if we can find a replacement stall holder. If we are unable to find a replacement, the fee is non refundable.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer any refunds from 9 days before the date of the event.

Applicants making repeat cancellations will be removed from our mailing lists, similarly stall-holders who give no notice of cancellation will also be removed from the mailing lists.

▲ Set up/ Set down

We ask our Stall holders to try and arrive within the specified time frame as stated on the important information sheet that will be emailed to you along with your confirmation. We want everything to be perfect, if you arrive too early your stall might not be quite ready, if you arrive too late it will cut short your setting up time, so it really is best to stick to the stated times.

▲ Parking at the Orange Tree

Unloading available outside The Orange Tree on North Sherwood Street. North Sherwood street is only accessible from the north end of the street, so if you are unfamiliar with the area, please have a look at the google map.

Cars must be parked elsewhere for the duration of the event, there are several car parks nearby, or there is pay and display on and around North Sherwood Street and Nottingham Trent University.

Click for: Nearby carparks; Nottingham City Council car parks (Curzon street carpark seems to be the cheapest, about 5/6 minutes walk from The Orange Tree, so unloading outside before would be recommended).

▲ Parking at Sneinton Market

Parking for the first hour is free for customers at nearby Aberdeen Street carpark. There is some free on-street parking available nearby which we recommend as the best option for stall holders (refer to Google Map).
